Pay envelope
Description
Pay envelope, produced by the Commonwealth of Australia and published by the Department of Information. The front on the envelope has the typed name of the recipient "Mr Barker" and a place for the amount (in pounds) that he was paid. Below, a faded black ink stamp reads "Please check contents immediately". The front of the envelope reads "Safety First" and "For age and want-save while you may, no morning sun lasts a whole day". The reverse reads "Double your War Effort and bring Victory in Double-quick time!". Buff paper with blue print.
