Stuckey, Norman Bradford (Lieutenant, b.1914 - d.1970)
Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of Lieutenant Norman Bradford Stuckey, Official Army Photographer. Collection consists of two handwritten diaries describing his travels to the Pacific Islands and Allied landings in Borneo, especially Tarakan and Morotai where he was apparently one of the first ashore. See P04663 for photographs taken during this time. Also included is a printed copy of the address delivered by General Sir Thomas Blamey, Commander-in-Chief, Australian Military Forces, to Lt General Teshima, Commander Second Japanese Army, on the occasion of the signing of the Surrender at Morotai on 9 September 1945.
