Portion of a map related to Operation Deuce, in a plastic bag sealed with sticky tape for use under wet conditions. The map was used by OC 6 Platoon, B Company, 2RAR during the battalion's first operation commencing 1 January 1956. B Company's base "Peach Bloom" was located at GR307571 and the company's area of operations is outlined in pencil and bounded to the east by the major road. 6 Platoon had the battalion's first successful contact on 9 January 1956, wounding and capturing a communist terrorist at GR288568. The platoon had a pre dawn contact at GR279535 on 9 February 1956 at the platoon's overnight base, no results. Subsequently located CT camp at GR2851538, believed to have been abandoned as result of the contact.
