Description
The switch box for a window launching machine, Mk 1a, showing the switch and warning light which indicated each time a bundle was launched. The switch box was positioned in the navigator’s cabin. This equipment was constructed by staff of 199 Squadron, RAF, and was used operationally from 1945 as a countermeasure against German radar. The machine was designed by 424778 Flight Lieutenant Charles Joseph Merryfull, RAAF.
