Envelope on which is printed 'B' and 'ON HIS MAJESTY"S SERVICE' and in the bottom left corner, 'ADMINISTRATIVE HEADQRS., A.I.F., 130, HORSEFERRY ROAD, LONDON, S.W.1.'. Handwritten in black ink is '6503/0/33/4A', 'LIEUT ROBLEY [stroke] ENCL. HAVE BEEN SENT FOR APPROVAL. LOCATION CARD ON WED. [initialed]', 'CPL HEWSTON S/SGT NOTT. CPM SAYS HE HAS ALREADY APPROVED. [initialed] VER 26/11'. Written in pencil is '25/11/18'. On the reverse in pencil is written, '[stroke] Wickham [stroke]'. The envelope has been opened and there are staple holes near the open end. There is a hole in the bottom left corner and some rust staining.
