1000th Tracker lands on Melbourne
Description
Grumman S-2 Tracker No 852 anti-submarine warfare aircraft of 816 Squadron makes the 1000th landing on the aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne. Film opens with scenes of A-4 Skyhawks and Tracker on the filght deck. Catapult take offs by Skyhawks nos 888 and 889. Tracker No 852 takes off. Tracker 852 makes the 1000th landing. The Tracker pilot is greeted with a large cake with the tiger's head, the 816 Squadron crest. Pilot cuts the cake and eating a slice.
