Description
Crew members of Centurion Mk 5/1 (Aust) tank ARN 169087 (not in view) with call sign 3B (three bravo), of A Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment RAAC, have let off a purple coloured flare to indicate a landing place in a jungle clearing for a dust-off helicopter of No. 9 Squadron RAAF. The crewmen called in the medical evacuation helicopter after another crew member, 39644 Trooper Warren William Crighton, was injured when he got his legs jammed in the tank. At rear stands Centurion Mk 5/1 (Aust) tank ARN 169043 with call sign 1A (one alpha).
