Description
Members of 1 Platoon, A Company, 8RAR, sit among the trees of a rubber plantation during a briefing at Fire Support Base (FSB) Peggy on the first day of Operation Atherton. The company has just deployed by helicopter from Nui Dat to secure the area for the FSB. Operation Atherton, which is the battalion's first in Vietnam, is a reconnaissance and ambush operation in the northwest of the province.
