Shashintsuki chirashi - haikingu o tanoshimu wakai josei [Pictorial leaflet - young women enjoying hiking].
Description
A pictorial propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War and was distributed to Melanesia. The item includes two copies of the pictorial leaflet and an English translation. Featured on the leaflet is a picture of young Japanese women wandering on a beach on a fine autumn day with the Japanese caption questioning whether these young women wish for the useless death of young Japanese soldiers who could be their life-long partners. On the back of the leaflet is a short message urging the recipient to surrender.
