"Tents erected for Major Evans (Canada) and Captain (Capt) Barrie Newman (Australia), United Nations Military Observers (Milobs), at Indian picquet at 14,000 ft level on way to investigate incidents at SHEER picquet at peak 16,498ft . Milobs, stationed at UN quarters at Indian Brigade Headquarters, Kargil, had to cross the Indus River over a rope bridge before climbing mountain."
