Description

On 19 July 1919, as part of the end of the First World War celebrations there was a grand march of Allied Heroes through London. The last survivors of the Charge of the Light Horse Brigade (Crimean War 1854-1856), W Jones, H Herbert, J Ford, J Mustard and W H Spring (left to right) were invited to meet King George V as part of his commitment to inspecting forces, visiting camps and holding countless events for conferring honours and decorations.
