Informal group portrait of Ottoman and German Army officers visiting the Mosque of Omar wearing snow overshoes. Identified second from left is General Friedrich Freiherr Kress von Kressenstein, one of a group of German officer who assisted the Ottoman Army. Many Australian and New Zealand soldiers collected these photographs of the enemy they were fighting in Palestine.
