Description

Pair of ladies hat pins made from military buttons. One of the pins is topped with a gilt brass 'AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES' button c 1914-1930. The button has an outline of Australian map surmounted by the Kings Crown encircled by the wording 'AUSTRALIAN MILITARY FORCES'. The base of the stick pin has a silver locking cover with' METAL' printed on one side and 'PATENT 1150/1910' on the other. The second hat pin is topped with a General Officers, Full Dress button with design mounted in gilt. Central is a sword crossed by a baton encircled by a wreath with a bow at the base. The base of the stick pin also has a silver locking cover with 'METAL' printed on one side and 'PATENT 1150/1910' on the other.
