Studio portrait of Olive Brittingham, a member of the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD), who works at the No. 1 Rest Home, Wirth's Park, St Kilda Road. The convalescent home was established on the grounds of Wirth's Circus in 1915, following the return of wounded soldiers from Gallipoli. No. 1 Rest Home also serves as a training centre for VADs.
