Description
Informal portrait of Sister Winifred Isabel Paradise, Australian Army Nursing Service (AANS) from Strathfield, NSW in bathers at the beach in Alexandria, Egypt. A 24 year old nurse prior to enlisting on 30 August 1916, she embarked for overseas with the AANS from Sydney on 2 September 1916 aboard RMS Kashgar. After serving in the Middle East, She returned to Australia on 9 January 1920.
