Souvenir pennant : HMAS Quiberon
Description
This pennant is an interpretation of the ships badge for HMAS Quiberon. Triangular blue felt souvenir pennant with two suspension loops on the hoist. Screen printed in yellow, white, grey, red and green with 'H.M.A.S QUIBERON' and the ship's badge showing a Q Class Destroyer (also known as Anti-submarine Frigate) within a wreath, surmounted by a naval crown and bow at the base. Beneath the wreath is 'R.A.N.'.
History / Summary
This pennant was made as a souvenir for the crew of the HMAS Quiberon. HMAS Quiberon is a Q Class Destroyer / Anit- Submarine Frigate. The ship was launched on the 31 January 1942. HMAS Quiberon was one of eight Q Class Destroyers built for the Royal Navy.
