Stained glass window design (for 'War Memorial')
Description
A rough sketch of a stained glass window design for a War Memorial.
Henry Woollcott served with the First A.I.F., at the 3rd Australian Hospital in Abbeville, France. After the end of the of the First World War, he was appointed as a war artist by the Australian War Records Section in London. In February 1920 he was serving as a Warrant Officer with the 2nd Divisional Artillery, his appointment was extended for one month to allow him to 'complete certain pictures for the Australian War Records Service' in Australia (Sydney). Prior to his service during the First World War, he had received some training as a lithoprinter in Australia.
