Description
An M113 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) named "Miss Cassanderk" on operations with D Company, 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR). The blocked out American insignia on the vehicle tends to suggest that the APC may have been in service by the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN), who participated with 5RAR during the establishment of the Fire Support Base (FSB) at the Horseshoe, north of the village of Dat Do, during Operation Leeton in early 1967. The hootchie to the side and the piece of corrugated iron above the rear hatch provide shade for the crew.
