Description
Two dimensional painted card model of a British RAN Martlet aircraft (the British version of the US Hellcat), with painted and inked details, and aerial and undercarriage reinforced with pins.
History / Summary
Found in models collection and identified as one of a series of models (see also REL37662 and REL37663) specifically made for exhibition display in the Naval section of the Memorial's old lower floor galleries during the 1950s and 1960s. The model is meant to represent a Martlet, the British version of the Grumman Hellcat.
