Hand coloured studio portrait of 1180 Private (Pte) John William Eric Cox of Brunswick, Vic. A tradesman before enlisting in January 1915, Pte Cox embarked from Australia with the Headquarters staff of the 22 Battalion in May 1915. He was killed in action on Gallipoli on 3 November 1915.
