Description
An Australian Army Bell B47G, possibly A1-396 or A1-399 operated by 182 Reconnaissance Flight (182 Recce Flt) on the helipad at the company base at Gumbang occupied by A Company, 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR) between April and September 1966. This was the most southerly of the 4RAR company positions and was located on a ridge line close to the Sarawak-Kalimantan border and a major Indonesian infiltration route.
