An aerial view of the company base at Gumbang occupied by A Company, 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR) between April and September 1966. This photograph was probably taken looking through the door of an RAF Westland Whirlwind helicopter that is approaching the Gumbang helipad This was the most southerly of the 4RAR company positions and was located on a ridge line close to the Sarawak-Kalimantan border and a major Indonesian infiltration route.
