Lady Helen Munro Ferguson and other dignitaries at the official opening of the Rest Room at Broadmeadows military camp. Opened by the wife of the Governor General, Her Excellency Lady Helen Munro Ferguson (centre), others present who may be in this image are Lady Cresswell, President of the Home Hospitals Committee, Mayoress of Brunswick Mrs Balfe, wife of Mayor Balfe, and Mrs Gibb, wife of Coucillor Gibb of the Shire of Broadmeadows. The Rest Room was built by the Brunswick Red Cross and citizens, and was an adjunct to the camp hospital, providing a rest space for convalescent soldiers.
