Studio portrait of 414478 Sergeant (Sgt) Bryan Gordon Grosvenor Francis, RAAF, of Bundaberg, Qld. A sugar chemist before enlisting in October 1941, Sgt Francis trained as a pilot in Canada as part of the Empire Air Training Scheme (EATS). Whilst attached to the 15th Advanced Training Unit (ATU) at Ramsbury, Wiltshire, he was killed in a training accident on 21 March 1943, aged 21.
