Studio portrait of 4359 Private (Pte) Walter Francis Reid, 29th Battalion, of Wyndham, NSW. A miner prior to enlistment Pte Reid embarked with the 11th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Afric on 3 November 1916. On 16 December 1917 he was killed in action in Belgium, aged 24.
