Studio portrait of 2293 Private (Pte) Tom Davidson, 3rd Pioneer Battalion. The portrait is surrounded by a decorative photographic matte in the shape of the coastline of Australia, flanked by a Union Jack and an Australian flag. It has the inscription 'For the honor of both: Victoria, A.I.E.F., 1916'. A labourer before enlisting on 9 May 1916, Pte Davidson embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Karroo on 18 September 1916 with the 3rd Reinforcements. He returned to Australia on 6 September 1919.
