Adjusting his black beret and wearing Ray Ban sun glasses, is crew commander, 39113 Corporal Ian Donald Mathieson, A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps, (RAAC) atop his M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier which has the call sign two nine Juliette (29J). The machine gun in the foreground is a .30 calibre L3A4 Browning medium machine gun on a flexible mount.
