Studio portrait of SX14004 Lieutenant Thomas Lancelot Lewis from Benacre, South Australia who was a 19 year old when he joined the 10th Battalion Militia Forces on 21 February 1941 and the Army on 11 August 1941. When he was demobilised on 7 February 1946 he was serving with the 2/3 Australian Commando Squadron. One of 86 photographs displayed on an honour board showing members of the Adelaide Rowing Club who enlisted for active service in the Second World War. The original is held by the Adelaide Rowing Club who kindly loaned the board to the Australian War Memorial for copying.
