Description
Studio portrait of SX10167 Corporal (Cpl) Charles Murray Clark, 9 Divisional Ammunition Sub Park, AASC, of St Peters, SA. A projectionist and theatre operator prior to enlistment, Cpl Clark transferred to 8 Divisional Ammunition Sub Park. He was taken prisoner of war of the Japanese and succeeded in smuggling his radio set into POW camps in Thailand and Burma. On 2 October 1943 he died of illness in Burma, aged 26.
