Going on leave and coming back; verso: not titled [soldiers getting dressed]
Description
Two contrasting drawings of the same soldier are depicted side by side; on the left he is depicted as he is heading off on leave and on the right he is shown upon his return to service. As the soldier is departing for leave he looks sharp and clean-cut, and he walks upright bearing a grin on his face and with a spring in his step. In strong contrast, on returning from leave the soldier is depicted unshaven, disheveled, and slumped over with a frown as he drags his feet along the ground.
Verso: Two soldiers are depicted getting dressed in their uniforms, both with very displeased expressions on their faces.
