Description
Typed memoirs by Charles Herbert Robinson of the 2/2 Field Ambulance. Spent time in the Middle East, Palestine, Cairo and Greece before being taken as POW. He was taken to Salonika, Maleme and then Stalag XIIIC. He spent time working as a POW farm labourer in the village of Unterwaldbehrungen before escaping. He was recaptured and taken to a gaol in Fladungen before being put back to work in Stockheim. He was taken back to Stalag XIIIC and was repatriated in 1943 back to Australia. After the war, in 1947, he represented Qantas in London.
