Informal portrait of war correspondent Norman MacSwan in Korea in winter. Born in 1917 in MacLean, NSW, MacSwan worked at a country newspaper prior to serving as a Flight Sergeant in the RAAF during the Second World War. In 1946 he returned to his career in journalism. He worked as a foreign correspondent in Singapore, Jakarta, Kulala Lumpur , London and New York.
