Pair of black work boots : Chief Petty Officer Avery, HMAS Sydney
Description
Pair of black leather work boots with steel toe caps. The boots have a thick rubber sole and the arches are embossed with the manufacture's marks and the size, '9'. The sides of the boots feature elastic webbing and at the top of each boot there is a pair black nylon tabs at the front and back with 'TUF' embroidered in red thread.
History / Summary
These boots were worn by Chief Petty Officer Avery of HMAS Sydney during the ship's deployment to the Persian Gulf in 2003 as part of Operation Slipper.
