Collection relating to Changi POW
Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of an unknown soldier referred to as 'George'. Collection consists of one original handwritten letter written by 'George', an Australian soldier, while a prisoner of war (POW) in Changi prison, dated 20 May 1943. The letter was written to Duce Farmer of Melbourne and was sent in a handmade fabric envelope, possibly uniform fabric. Collection also includes a colour patch which is green and red with a grey border.
