Description
An M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) from A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, with the call sign one two bravo (12B). The APC has been recovered from the Courtenay Rubber Plantation located in the north of Phuoc Tuy Province, after being severely damaged by a mine. The port side drive sprocket and three road wheels are missing from the blast. The sponson armour (visible above the first three road wheel stations) probably saved the driver of the APC from death or critical injury. An unidentified member from 102 Field Workshop has secured the APC onto a Freighter Industries, 15 ton tilt bed recovery trailer and it will be transported back to Nui Dat or Vung Tau for repair.
