Studio portrait of 1889 Private Albert Frederick Osbourne Hood, 6th Light Horse Regiment of Cowra, NSW. A Labourer prior to enlistment he embarked with the 11th Reinforcements on HMAT Aeneas (A60) on 20 December 1915. He later transferred to the 6th Field Artillery Brigade and was promoted to a Bombardier (Bdr) and died of wounds on 11 June 1917, aged 29 years. Bdr Osbourne is buried at London Rifle Brigade Cemetery Ploegsteert, Belgium.
