Studio portrait of 3768 Private Claude William Edward Guyot, 3rd Battalion of Parramatta, NSW. A fitter prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard the HMAT Medic (A7) on 30 December 1915. He was killed in action during the attack on Pozieres, France sometime between 22 and 27 July 1916, aged 20. Post war his body was not located and he is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
