Studio portrait of 1107 Private Thomas Edmonds, 4th Battalion of Auburn, NSW. A labourer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Euripides (A14) on 20 October 1914. He was killed in action on 20 August 1916 at Gallipoli, Turkey, aged 38. He is buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
