Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 894 Private William Harold Rolfe, 2 Infantry Battalion, AIF. Collection consists of six original handwritten letters and one postcard written by Private Rolfe to his mother, Mrs Emma Rolfe. The letters discuss such topics as life at home, mail and news, soldiers being discharged as medically unfit, trench warfare, food and tobacco rations, and censorship. A transcript of the letters is also included.
