Collection relating to the Second Gulf War (Iraq War) service of 8248120 Corporal Peta Rene Greer, Australian Forces Post Office (AFPO) 12, 2008.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection includes six drawings, four letters and two cards (for Easter and Mother’s Day) that Greer received from her two young children during the deployment. The drawings feature characters such as Dumbo, Scrooge McDuck, Minnie Mouse, Bashful, and Princess Diana, while the children write of what they are up to and how much they miss Greer. The collection also includes two letters and a birthday card from Greer’s parents, who similarly update her on their lives and reference some of Greer’s activities in the Middle East. The latter includes discussion of fireworks and dehydration. The collection additionally features a short letter and 16 computer printed photographs of Kuwait and of Greer at work in AFPO 12, which Greer sent home to her family.
Greer was deployed to Kuwait on Operation Catalyst from February to August 2008 as Postal Manager of AFPO 12 for the Force Level Logistic Asset rotation 4.
