Uniform patch : Stabilisation Force Timor Leste
Machine woven black, gold and red rectangular uniform patch featuring a white star and the outline of the island of Timor over a crocodile. Above and below are the words, 'STABILISATION FORCE' and 'TIMOR LESTE' in black. The patch has a green border and velcro backing.
Patch as worn by Australian soldiers operating as part of Operation Astute which is the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) continuing contribution to the maintenance of peace and stability in Timor-Leste (formerly East Timor), following a request from the Government of Timor-Leste to the Australian Government.
The ADF and the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) deployed to Timor-Leste to assist the Government of Timor-Leste and the United Nations bring stability, security and confidence to the Timorese people.
