Studio portrait of 1939 Pte Percy Charles Davis, 1st Battalion, of Scone, NSW, son of Charles Samuel and Isabella Davis. A labourer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 25 June 1915. He was killed in action on 6 August 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey, aged 25. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Lone Pine Memorial, Turkey.
