No. 25 City of Perth Squadron
An account of this squadron's activities whilst operating B-24 Liberator aircraft from Western Area during 1945-46. Spiral bound manuscript compiled by 424592 Flying Officer Paul Laurence Mallard, 25 RAAF Squadron. Provides a brief history of the squadron including highlights in the months January 1945 - April 1946. Also includes narrative reports of squadron operations between January 29th - August 5th 1945. Contains notes on the B-24 Liberator as well as listing the 25 Squadron Liberators, captains, crews and aircraft casualties. Includes photographs, newspaper cuttings, lyrics to the '25 Squadron song' and a cartoon as well as images of a menu, invitation and squadron badges. Also contains an interview with 406221 Flight Lieutenant Ernest Radcliffe Oldfield, DFM and a report concerning his experiences as a POW in Java.
