Collection relating to 2269 Private Alexander Brown who served with the 4 Battalion Australian Commonwealth Horse (VIC) during the conflict in South Africa (Boer War) 1899-1902. Consists of an original black covered pocket size diary handwritten by Pte Brown listing his locations from the 27 April to the 26 July 1902, the addresses of other Australian servicemen.
