Description

Veterans of 6 Mobile Works Squadron and 6 Airfield Construction Squadron gather outside the Supreme Court Building in King Street, prior to the commencement of the Anzac Day march. Their banner, which is resting against an iron fence, lists the places in which they served, including Milne Bay, Kiriwina, Aitape, Jacquinot Bay, Labuan and Balikpapan. 6 Mobile Works Squadron, formed on 10 December 1942, was renamed 6 Airfield Construction Squadron in July 1944 and disbanded late in 1945.
