Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 13645 Private Robert Allan Roberts, who served with the 6th Australian Field Ambulance. Collection consists a digital file (PDF) containing a 42 page typed manuscript titled '13645 Pte. Robert A. Roberts, 18.9.1894 - 7.4.1918: 6th Field Ambulance, Australian Imperial Force' compiled by his niece Daphne Heaton. Includes a description of Private Roberts' early life, as well as a transcript of the diaries he Kept during his service with the 6th Australian Field Ambulance. Includes photographs, reference maps and transcripts of original poems written by Roberts. Grave and Memorial details are also included. Paper copy available for access. The original diaries written by Pte Roberts are held in the National Collection of the Australian War Memorial at PR04829.
