Manuscript titled 'As I Saw It: Being a very private soldier's recollections of a very public war'. Documenting the experiences of NX47831 Lance Sergeant Frank Rose who served in the Second World War, it includes information on his service with 2/3 Battalion, and his experiences in the Middle East, Sri Lanka and New Guinea, from 1940 to 1945. In three items, the manuscript comprises an original typed version with hand-written annotations; a second typed copy, bound with photograph; and a typed and hand written two-page glossary.
