Five squadron members in Lahat, Sumatra. Identified, in unknown order: RAF Serviceman Russ O'Loughlen; 400871 Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Austin James Collins, air gunner; RAF Serviceman 'Flash' Gordon; RAF Serviceman Cecil Hawker; RAF Serviceman Donald Leighton. Flt Sgt Collins served in Malaya with the RAF and returned to Australia after the fall of Singapore. He was then posted to 22 Squadron RAAF in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. He was lost on operations in New Guinea on 1 June 1943.
