235175 Lieutenant (Lt) Maxwell Thomas Turrell, 11 Platoon, D Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) carrying patrol equipment during Exercise Charity Angel. After the Malayan Emergency was officially over 2RAR was on active service patrolling the border area classified as a "Black Zone".
