Description
A group of Afghan children, as seen from aboard a Bushmaster escort vehicle on a "Log Run" [logistics run] convoy as it passes through the village of Tarin Kot en route to Kamp Holland. This photograph was taken by Nick Fletcher, Australian War Memorial Senior Curator of Military Heraldry and Technology, as part of the Memorial's Curators in the Field programme. Nick travelled to Afghanistan with the Australian Defence Force in October 2009, together with official war artist Shaun Gladwell.
